Improving girls rights in Cairo, Egypt

Girls in Egypt are often not registered

"Girls in Egypt are often not registered when they are born. Unregistered, they have no access to education and other basic rights.

The Egyptian Center of Women’s Rights has been helping women in Bortus, a small village community outside of Cairo, to get registered. Now more than 1000 women in the community have obtained their documents. Following, these women have gone on to receive training in literacy as well as basic legal rights from ECWR.
